150 feet down in one hour

They call it the “flight” of locks—#6,5,4,3, and 2 —five locks at the confluence of the Canal and the Hudson River.  Together they descend 150 feet—more in short space than anywhere in the world.  Bob and Margie met us at lock 2 and then walked down to the visitor center here where Robin docked the boat.               Tomorrow, the “federal” lock which is on the Hudson, also called lock 1.
